Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where can I send my KAflex STC drive shaft for repair or overhaul?
A.
You may send it to the Kamatics Corp. mailing address located under the “Contact Us” tab, of our KAflex website. You will also find convenient mailing label templates under our “Products” tab on our website also.

Q. I have a KAflex driveshaft on my Helicopter supplied from the Helicopter manufacture. Can I send it to Kamatics directly for repair or overhaul?
A. Any driveshaft other then an Aftermarket Kamatics drive shaft listed under the “Products and Services” tab must be sent to the OEM helicopter manufacture for service.

Q. I have a driveshaft with yellow torque stripes, needing to be touched up. Can I obtain the materials to do so myself?
A .Please consult service instruction for guidelines to proper maintenance procedures, before applying any torque stripe touch up. Touch up kits are available, as specified by service instruction. If you are touching up the existing yellow torque stripes, Kamatics specifies using Loctite® E-20HP™ Hysol® Epoxy Adhesive, Fast Setting. This is available from your local Henkel Corporation distributor. Visit the Henkel Corporation website.

Q. I have a Bell 206 A/B or a 206 L1/LIII Series aircraft currently flying the Factory Bell grease drive shaft and I want to retrofit it with an STC KAflex driveshaft. Will my factory Bell rotor brake system work with the new shaft?
A. No, you will need to order a Rotor Brake kit in addition to your driveshaft kit.
