Developed in the 1970´s, the KAron® bearing liner system has been repeatedly selected for use in the most demanding aviation and marine applications.
Noted for its high performance and low wear rate, KAron has become an ideal replacement for PTFE fabric-lined bearings. Its performance has proven superior in providing longer life and lower maintenance costs, even when operating in areas of high moisture, fluid/debris contamination and elevated temperatures.
The KAron liner system can be found in thousands of locations aboard fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and ships, as well as in aviation and marine powerplant systems. KAron, a thermosetting polyester resin-based material with PTFE particles, is manufactured in a variety of different liner types that are tailored to the specific performance needs of the customer.

Additional Uses
- Component Salvage: Because the KAron liner material can be applied in varying thicknesses and can be machined, it is ideally suited for salvaging expensive components with oversized bores, or the undersized O.D´s of pins, shafts, etc. KAron does not unravel or peel and can be machined to close aerospace tolerances.
- Fretting Barrier: The KAron liner can be used as a barrier to prevent fretting between expensive components/surfaces. It can be installed “as applied”, without subsequent machining
- Corrosion Protection: KAron has demonstrated excellent protection against corrosion, has a high tolerance to contamination and hostile environments and does not absorb fluids.
